National Institute of Ecology - Alien Species Safety Management
생물다양성감소의 주요 위협요인 중 하나인 침입외래종의 관리를 위해 국립생태원에서는 외래생물 전국 서식실태 조사를 「생물다양성 보전 및 이용에 관한 법률」과 「제5차 국가생물다양성전략」 등에 근거하여 법정사업으로 2015년 제주도 시범조사를 시작으로 제1차(2016~2018), 제2차(2019~2021년), 제3차(2022~2024년) 그리고 현재 제4차(2025~2029) 조사사업을 수행하고 있다.
외래생물 전국 서식실태조사는 국내 생태계에 유입 및 정착된 외래생물(식물, 곤충, 파충류 등)에 대하여 전국 규모의 서식현황을 파악하여 제거 및 퇴치 등 선제적 관리와 확산을 방지하기 위한 기초자료 제공을 목적으로 하고 있다.
